  • Members can select to receive a store credit towards your next CSA purchase from us in 2027.

  • Gift a weekly share to a friend.

Note that there are a limited number of vacation days allowed for each share type. Members are strongly encouraged to redeem their vacation share balance before the end of the growing season.

  • Weekly Shares: 4 days

COST & PAYMENT OPTIONS

Weekly Shares | 16 Weeks | $800

Biweekly Shares | 8 Weeks | $400

Low-Income Shares | 1-16Weeks | $30/week

SNAP Shares (EBT payment) | 1-16 Weeks | $30/week

Farm Investment

The $50 per week standard share value includes $45 worth of vegetables and a $5 direct investment in Mavourneen Farm.  Our new pricing structure honors the foundational intention of the community supported agriculture movement, meant to connect farmers and eaters in sharing the risks and rewards of food production.

We appreciate your solidarity in working together to sustain our farm and a viable local food system in Monroe County.

Pay in Full

Full payment up front is our preferred option, to help us cover the cost of getting the farm season started.

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and ACH transfer.  Register online through our Grownby storefront then select your payment method.

For offline payments, checks can be made out to Mavourneen LLC and mailed to 8652 South Rockport Road, Bloomington, IN 47403.  Cash payments can be brought to our farmers’ market booth April-May.

If you prefer to pay with a credit card or ACH transfer, please note that you will be required to cover the cost of card processing fees. This helps us to offset the extra expense of offering convenient online payment.

Pay in Monthly Installments

Members must pay online to utilize this option.  A non-refundable deposit is due at sign-up. The remaining cost of the share is then spread out across monthly payments that are automatically processed each month during the share session.

  • Weekly Share: $200 deposit, then auto-pay $150 monthly

  • Biweekly Share: $100 deposit, then auto-pay $75 monthly

Pay with SNAP/EBT

SNAP users can order reduced cost, weekly shares from us through our online store, selecting as many or as few dates as they would like. Card information can be stored for future date purchases and users will need to re-enter their card pin for each payment. If you have any questions about this option, please email us.

WHAT’S IN A SHARE

We strive to produce extremely high quality, beautiful, nutrient dense food.  Each week share members will receive 7-10 produce items.  Since our vegetables are harvested and distributed at peak freshness, most items should have a shelf life of 7-14 days or more, if kept according to ideal storage directions.

Weekly shares are best for medium sized households that cook regularly and eat a vegetable forward diet.

Biweekly shares are best for smaller households and individuals who want less vegetables.  This share contains the same amount of produce as weekly shares but pickups occur every other week.

Our goal is to include a well rounded mix of the following categories each week, as they are seasonally available, for a variety of flavors and meal options:

  • Leafy Greens: arugula, asian greens, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, escarole, frisée, kale, lettuce, radicchio, salad mixes, spinach

  • Herbs: basil, cilantro, celery, dill, fennel, ginger, parsley, turmeric

  • Alliums: garlic, leeks, onions, scallions

  • Summer Fruit: cucumbers, eggplant, sweet & hot peppers, tomatoes, zucchini

  • Roots, Tubers & More: beets, carrots, potatoes, radishes, turnips, winter squash

While we grow over 35 different crops, and many different varieties within this, availability will vary across the seasons.  August through September will include an abundance of summer fruiting crops like tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and eggplant.  As we move into fall, there will be lots of greens and the arrival of storage crops like carrots and potatoes.

Note that there may be crop losses throughout the year that are beyond our control, so we do not guarantee the availability of every item planned for production.  CSA members agree to share in the risks inherent to farming.

WHAT COMES WITH MEMBERSHIP

In addition to fresh food weekly, CSA members will also:

  • Become members of a community that directly supports young farmers and ecological land stewardship in Monroe County.  We have been growing vegetables just outside Bloomington for more than 10 years and have been deeply involved in building a vibrant, life serving local agricultural system that is sustainable for the land and the people of this region.

  • Have a direct connection to the people who grow their food. This relationship provides transparency in a food system that is increasingly difficult to navigate.  Our farm team will greet you at distribution each week and happily answer any questions you have about our production practices or how to use a particular ingredient.

  • Receive weekly newsletters with the anticipated harvest list, photos & stories from the farm, and more.
